Come out for Vancouver Community Library’s first ever Drag Queen Story Hour, featuring the fabulous queen Clare Apparently, reading stories, singing songs, and making crafts; followed by a dance party! Dress up encouraged. This event is offered at no cost, and is child/family oriented.
“Vancouver library officials call Drag Queen Story Hour an effort to reach out and make marginalized people in our community feel safe and welcome. It’s a way to teach tolerance, teach self-acceptance and prevent bullying, they said.”
Created by RADAR Productions in San Francisco, Drag Queen Story Hour now happens regularly all over the world.
