Crochet 101 Workshop
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn all the basics of crocheting! You'll get step-by-step guidance on basic techniques and stitches, and you will leave the workshop with a completed project! This will be an ongoing series, so you can continue to build your skills over time.
This is a safe, inclusive, and affirming space for queer youth and young adults to gather, learn new skills, and make lasting friendships.
-NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! We love teaching new crafters.

Sewing Series for Self-Expression
QYRC Sewing Series for Self-Expression
This multi-part series will teach foundational garment sewing skills while creating a supportive space for self-expression. Participants would learn the basics of sewing to make clothes that fit their body and identity in an affirming environment that honors gender diversity, body autonomy, and personal style. Whether you want comfy, flashy, or totally unique pieces, this series will give you the skills to make clothes that fit your body and vibe. Come learn, create, and show up as your full self - one stitch at a time.
This first session will teach sewing machine basics with a beginner-friendly project and future sessions will include skills for tailoring clothing to your fit and style.
- NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
- LGBTQ+ Affirming Space. Come as your authentic self.
- All Supplies Provided. Just bring your imagination and enthusiasm!
- Open for queer youth and young adults ages 15 - 24.

Queer the Way Co. is hosting Queer Speed Friending - a night where queer folks can connect, laugh, build meaningful friendships, and dance the night away! The host will kick things off with thought-provoking questions for you and your new friend to explore and each mini hangout will last between 5-8 minutes. This event is more than just an evening out; it’s a celebration of community, love, and joy!
